Flora learns what's in her school bag by matching symbols. This helps her with building her vocabulary.
Flora is still at an early stage of communication so she first matches real objects with symbols.
Once she has established the new vocabulary and mastered the first stage, she will move on to the next one which is matching symbol-symbol with word.
In the same way, when Flora is ready she will move on to the next stage of matching: symbol-word.
